Serenity House LA Serenity in the heart of Hollywood

About Us

We are Lee and Gary Jordan and we are THE PHOENIX.

We are passionate readers, reading many different genres. As a writer team, we don’t intend to go with custom and stick to one genre. We have several other books planned.
Both of us feel it is never too late to change the direction of your life.

We enjoy books, getting to know readers and other authors via the Internet, movies, and sitting outside to soak up the Southern California sun. We live in Hollywood with our ornery tomcat, Snickers.

Lee wrote A Whisper from Eden, A Historical Fantasy, a 210,000 word epic available in Kindle and print versions. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, grew up in California. She came from a long line of Americans who were pioneers and individualists, with a family tree that goes back to the revolutionary war and is filled with rugged people, rough coal miners, and farmers who lived in log cabins in the early west. She loves researching history, philosophy, religions and is never content with the way things are explained. She likes to look into the nooks and crannies and wonder, what if?

Gary is a third generation Californian, born and raised in Anaheim. He has always had an insatiable curiosity about everything. He was involved with telecommunications for many years and now has his own business. He has always been a happy, laid back person. But now he has something to be very intense about – just recently something happened to change his life.

Lee invited him to help her with a paranormal thriller she had in mind and once he sat down at the computer and started, his life transformed. He found his real passion – writing fiction. He has never been so excited to do something in his entire life.

From Gary to Lee: Well, we are a great team. I love all those brainstorming sessions. Amazing. I want to thank you for being my lover, my confidant, my best friend, and for your dedication to the craft of writing. (You are so much fun and so sweet most of the time. It’s just, I wish you weren’t such a crab sometimes. Let’s be honest – you nag.)

From Lee to Gary: I want to thank you for being your loving, honest, ethical, and wonderful self. And I want to thank you for being my one true soul mate and for sharing with me your wonderful talent. It is truly a joyful experience co-writing with you. (I’ll tell you what makes me crabby. You have been so caught up and excited about in writing this series, you keep forgetting to eat or sleep. Well, okay. I know. I do the same thing. I know, right now it’s 5:00 a.m. I know I haven’t eaten since yesterday at dinner. I forgot. But that still doesn’t make it right.)

A WHISPER FROM EDEN, A Historical Fantasy
In 1827, a young writer went in search of the strange Mandan tribe in North Dakota that Louis and Clark found in their journey. The young man finds their villages perched high upon lofty cliffs overlooking the turbulent waters of the Missouri River, like walled fortresses and ruling kings from medieval times. He is stunned to find that the rich and powerful Mandan could wield magic, magic taught to them by one of The People from Above. This is a unique take on real events, with magic, the supernatural, and . . . the promised return of the great god Lone Man.

LEON’S LAIR, A Paranormal Thriller
A cruise ship in the Indonesian waters is being attacked. However, Leon and his men are not regular pirates – they want something else besides the usual booty. Jane and two male companions escape the horror in a lifeboat, become lost at sea, and are almost out of fuel when they finally catch sight of land, a dangerous rain-forested island that seems deserted. However, their fight for survival has only just begun, because they are not really alone. Fate is cruel because this island is Leon’s Lair.LeonsLairRevisedFINAL

JUST IN TIME, The Last of Her Kind. Inspiration for a story can come from almost anywhere. In the case of Just in Time, the Muse called and we confess – we obediently followed.
So here it is.
The Clan of the Cave Bear meets The X Files.

If you are sensitive about your religious beliefs, Just in Time may offend you. However, if that is not your case, we don’t want you to feel left out. The material in this story might be irreverent and controversial, and yet spiritual and religious enough to possibly piss-off just about everyone. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

While reading the works of Zecharia Sitchin, The Earth Chronicles, and The Gods of Eden, by William Bramley, we became fascinated. We did not agree with all of their ideas and theories, and we do not expect you will agree with our take on them.

Zecharia Sitchin, (1920-2010), was one of the few scholars able to read and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian clay tablets. Sitchin compiled the complete story of the people from the planet of Nibiru and their impact on human civilization from the fragments scattered throughout Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Hittite, Egyptian, Canaanite, and Hebrew and from the “myths” of these ancient peoples.

Sitchin drew both widespread interest and criticism, his controversial theories on the Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru and the true origins of Homo sapiens. The theory is offered that mankind was created by genetic engineering from the genes of themselves and the local Earth residents, the Neanderthal, to create workers. Then they set themselves up as the gods of Earth demanding worship and obedience.

The works have been translated into more than twenty languages and featured on radio and television programs around the world. If the name Nibiru for the planet in the opening of Star Trek: Into Darkness makes your ears perk up, while not the advanced Nibiru we know of from Zecharia Sitchin’s writing, it is a direct reference to Sitchin’s theories.

Just in Time is a product of our imaginations, a flight of fancy, about someone who was possibly the last living pre-human, the Neanderthal.
